With Stranger Things, Netflix brings to life a nostalgic title that harks back to the 80s. <\/strong>You might find yourself reminiscing about other pop culture icons from this decade when watching this show. For example, Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, remembers Eggo waffles. As a huge Eggo fan, too (who doesn’t love that they pop up out of nowhere as if by magic?). Eleven was introduced to Eggo waffles the morning after Mike Wheeler and the Party discovered her in 1983. Mike gave her a single Eggo for breakfast<\/strong>, and she became addicted to the ready-made waffle. When El was stranded in the woods, the only food she stole from Bradley’s Big Buy was Eggo waffles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Eleven went missing, Jim Hopper tracked her down by leaving a box of Eggo in the woods. El confronted Hopper after discovering the Eggos and realizing he was putting them out for her, and they began living together in secret.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1984 Hopper enticed El out of bed one morning with a Triple-Decker Eggo Extravaganza. Hopper forbade El from eating Eggos for a week during their fight (along with the TV).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El also stole Eggos while Kali Prasad and her crew were robbing a gas station store.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the gang was at Bradley’s Big Buy in 1985, Mike received a brief transmission from Dustin Henderson via his Supercom. While sitting in front of an open freezer of Eggos, Eleven used her powers to locate Dustin.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • 240 ml (1 cup)  milk<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 120 ml (1\/2 cup) water<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 60 ml (1\/4 cup) oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    1. Set aside the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the eggs and sugar until the mixture is pale and doubled in size (you can use an electric mixer for a few minutes at high speed<\/strong>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Mix in the milk, water, and oil until combined (do not use an electric mixer at this point).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Mix in the dry ingredients in two steps until well combined. Don’t over-blend! To avoid lumps, use a sifter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Preheat the waffle maker and lightly coat both sides with melted butter or vegetable oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Close the waffle maker and pour in about 12 cups of batter. Cook for approximately 1 minute. Waffles should not be browned to resemble store-bought Eggos.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Repeat with the rest of the waffle batter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
